Website Redesign

A redesign takes a site that has fallen behind (slow, dated, awkward on a phone, hard to update) and rebuilds it as a fast, responsive, conversion-focused site, without throwing away the search rankings it already has.

Modernise the site without starting from zero

Most businesses do not need a brand-new website, they need the one they have brought up to standard. A redesign is the right project when the site still represents the business but has fallen behind: it looks dated, it is slow, it does not work well on a phone, the content is stale, it is painful to edit, or it simply is not turning visitors into enquiries any more. The Leads Hub has redesigned websites for Toronto and Greater Toronto Area businesses since 2007, and the aim is a site that feels current, loads fast, reads clearly and is built to convert, while keeping everything you have already earned in search.

The work usually covers the same ground in some combination: a fresh, custom design in place of a dated or templated look; a rebuild of the page structure so visitors reach what they need in fewer clicks; a move to mobile-first layouts, since a redesign is the natural point to fix a site that was built desktop-first years ago; a serious speed pass so Core Web Vitals are healthy on real phone connections; rewritten or reorganised content; and a clear conversion point on every page instead of a single buried contact form. Where the platform is the problem, the redesign is also a re-platform, off an unmaintainable theme onto clean HTML, onto WordPress if you need to edit heavily, or onto an AI-assisted build where that fits.

The part that separates a good redesign from a risky one is the migration. We map every existing URL before anything changes, keep the paths that rank exactly as they are, and 301-redirect anything that has to move so link equity carries over. On-page SEO (titles, headings, structured data, internal links) is rebuilt into the new templates rather than lost in the move. Analytics, call tracking and form tracking are reconfigured and tested before launch, and we watch Search Console and traffic closely for the first few weeks so any drop is caught and fixed quickly rather than discovered months later. Once the new site is live it is easy for your team to maintain, see website maintenance, and structured to grow with new pages and sections rather than needing another rebuild. If the current site is beyond saving, or the business has changed shape entirely, the full website design service is the better route.

What a redesign covers

01

Audit & Plan

A review of the current site (content, structure, speed, rankings) and a plan for what changes and what stays.

02

New Custom Design

A current, branded design across every key template, replacing a dated or templated look.

03

Responsive Rebuild

Mobile-first layouts, fixing a site that was built desktop-first before phones dominated traffic.

04

Speed & Core Web Vitals

A dedicated performance pass so the new site is fast on real mobile connections.

05

SEO Migration

URL mapping, 301 redirects, and on-page SEO rebuilt into the new templates so rankings hold.

06

Tracking & Launch

Analytics and lead tracking reconfigured, tested, then a monitored launch with Search Console watched.

How a redesign runs

Step 01

Audit

We assess the current site and export what matters (top pages, rankings, links) so nothing valuable is lost.

Step 02

Design & structure

New templates and a new sitemap are designed and signed off before the build starts.

Step 03

Build & migrate

The new site is built for speed and search, content is moved across, and every URL change is mapped.

Step 04

Launch & watch

We launch with redirects live, then monitor rankings, traffic and errors for the first few weeks.

Why us

Why choose The Leads Hub for a redesign

  • Rankings are protected by design, URL mapping, 301s and on-page SEO are part of the process, not an afterthought.
  • It is a redesign, not a reset: we keep what works on the current site and rebuild what does not.
  • Every redesign is mobile-first and speed-checked, so the new site is faster than the one it replaces.
  • In business since 2007, redesigning sites we built and sites inherited from other agencies.

Website redesign FAQs

An advisor answering a client's questions about a website redesign, with floating question-mark cards for scope, SEO and migration

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

Not when it is handled properly. We map every URL, keep the paths that rank, 301-redirect anything that moves, and carry on-page SEO into the new templates. Then we monitor Search Console after launch so anything that slips is caught and fixed early.

How is a redesign different from a new website?

A redesign keeps the parts of your current site that still work (content, rankings, structure that earns its keep) and rebuilds the rest. A new website starts from a blank brief. If your current site is beyond saving, the website design service is the better fit.

Can you move my site to a different platform at the same time?

Yes. A redesign is the natural time to re-platform, off an unmaintainable theme onto clean HTML, onto WordPress if you edit content often, or onto an AI-assisted build where it suits. The migration plan covers the platform move as well as the URLs.

How long does a redesign take?

A focused redesign is usually four to eight weeks, depending on page count, how much content is being rewritten, and whether the platform is changing. Getting content and approvals back to us on time is the biggest variable.
