Backlinks & Authority
Rankings follow credibility. We earn relevant links and mentions from sources your buyers and search engines already trust, quality and relevance, not link counts.

Authority built on relevant, earned links, not volume
A backlink is a link from another website to yours, and it still functions as a vote of confidence: search engines treat links from credible, relevant sources as a signal that your site is trustworthy. But the game changed years ago. Volume-based link building (hundreds of low-quality links, directory dumps, paid link networks) now ranges from ineffective to actively harmful. The Leads Hub has adjusted this work through every link-related algorithm update since 2007, and today it is about relevance, authority and genuine editorial value.

We start by assessing your current backlink profile and comparing it to the sites outranking you: how many quality referring domains they have, where those links come from, what content earned them, and how quickly they are adding new ones. That gap analysis sets the target and the pace. We also audit for toxic or spammy links that may be dragging you down, link-farm footprints, irrelevant foreign-language directories, paid placements from a previous provider, and disavow them where the risk warrants it, because cleaning up a manipulated profile often unlocks rankings before a single new link is built.
Then we earn links rather than buy them. That means creating genuinely useful assets (original research, free tools, definitive guides) that others want to reference; digital PR that puts your data and expertise in front of journalists and industry publications; reclaiming unlinked mentions of your brand; fixing broken inbound links that point at dead pages; and relevant local, supplier and industry-association placements. Every prospective link is judged on the linking site's relevance, its own authority and whether a real person would click it before we pursue it. Reporting tracks referring domains gained, their quality scores, the anchor-text mix, and the movement in rankings and organic traffic that followed.

Backlinks & authority FAQs

How many backlinks do I need to rank?
There is no target number. What matters is closing the quality gap with the sites currently outranking you, often a modest number of strong, relevant links outperforms a large pile of weak ones.
Do you buy links?
No. Paid link schemes violate Google's guidelines and can trigger penalties. We earn links through content, digital PR, mention reclamation and genuine relationships.
Can bad links hurt my site?
They can. Spammy or manipulative link patterns can suppress rankings. We audit for them and file a disavow when the risk justifies it, then focus on healthy growth.
How long before link building shows results?
Typically three to six months for ranking movement, longer in very competitive niches where the sites ahead of you have a decade of earned links. Authority compounds, so the effect grows the longer a sound programme runs, the links you earn this quarter keep passing value for years, and each one makes the next target page easier to move.
