Keyword Research
The list your whole SEO and content plan is built on. We find the terms your buyers actually use, sort them by intent and value, and map each one to the page that should win it.

Keyword research mapped to intent, value and pages
Keyword research is the process of discovering the exact phrases people type, and now speak to assistants, when they are looking for what you sell, then deciding which are worth pursuing. It is the foundation of every SEO and content campaign, because it determines what you are trying to rank for and therefore where all the effort goes. The Leads Hub has done this work for Toronto and Greater Toronto Area businesses since 2007, and we anchor it in commercial intent rather than search volume.

We build the keyword universe from several sources: your own site and Search Console data, competitor rankings, the questions customers ask your sales team, and the related and long-tail terms the tools surface. Each keyword is then classified by intent (is the searcher ready to buy, comparing options, or just learning) and by how realistic it is for your site to rank given the current competition. A high-volume term you cannot rank for, or one that never leads to a sale, is not a target.
The output is a working map, not a raw list. Keywords are grouped into topic clusters, each cluster is assigned to a specific existing page or a new page to create, a single primary term is named per page so your own pages do not compete with each other, and priorities are set by commercial value against ranking difficulty so the quickest valuable wins come first and the long-term targets are visible but sequenced later. We flag where an AI Overview already dominates a term and changes the click opportunity, where local intent means the map pack matters more than the blue links, where a term is really informational and belongs in content rather than on a service page, and where something is better bought through paid search than chased organically. You can hand the finished map to us to execute, use it to brief your own team, or give it to another agency, it is written to be acted on by anyone.

Keyword research FAQs

Isn't keyword research a one-time task?
The core map is built once and then maintained. Search behaviour, competitors and your own priorities shift, so we revisit the map each quarter on ongoing engagements and adjust the roadmap.
Do you research keywords for AI search too?
Yes. We include the conversational questions people ask assistants and note which target terms already trigger an AI Overview, so the content plan accounts for both.
What if the best keywords are too competitive?
We map a path to them: less contested long-tail and local terms you can win now, which build the authority needed to compete for the harder terms later.
Can we use the research without hiring you to do the SEO?
Yes. The keyword-to-page map and roadmap are yours. Many clients commission the research, then execute with an in-house team or another provider.
